We are so happy that our buddy Jacob Grant is joining us again as our special guest star for this edition of Saturday Storytime! He'll be sharing his latest book, Bear Out There, and drawing for us.
Somewhat uptight Bear and free-wheeling Spider from Jacob's wonderful Bear's Scare are back in another charming story. When Spider's kite flies away, Bear has to venture out and into the messy forest to help his friend. As their quest goes from bad to worse, Bear and Spider show readers that being a friend means being there for each other, no matter what.
We love the Kirkus review for Bear Out There, which says in part, "Grant’s soft, muted crayon-and-ink illustrations, full of rounded shapes, complement the warm comforting tone of the story, and the text is clearly laid out and should be easily read by beginning readers as well as grown-ups. Spider is adorable, composed of two ocher globes with stubby, unthreatening legs, wide eyes, and a button hat. A cozy tale of friendship and compromise between two very different creatures."
Jacob’s program with us is free and open to the public. He''l be happy to autograph his books!
This event is aimed at kids 3 and up. Join us each Saturday at 10:30 AM for stories and fun.
