No Bear Anywhere: Saturday Storytime with Leah Gilbert

We are delighted to host children's author and illustrator Leah Gilbert for a Saturday Storytime featuring her new title, No Bear Anywhere! A young boy learns to cope with disappointment and embrace the unexpected in this playful and charming picture book. She will be happy to sign her works! This event is perfect for kids ages 3 to 6. We'll be making a telescope craft for a bear scavenger hunt as part of the program, and kids can color scenes from the book, too!

More About the Book: When Bruin’s family takes a walk on Bear Creek Trail, Bruin is determined to spot a bear. Before too long, Bruin gets excited: he's noticed a . . . pinecone! It's not a bear, but it's still great. A few minutes later, Bruin stops once again! He's seen a . . . flower! No bear anywhere, but there's still plenty of time. Eventually, they make it all the way to the . . . cave! But when Bruin enters the cave, and there is no bear anywhere, he's as sad as could be. This day is not going his way. Can Bruin turn his no-bear day around? (And when all is said and done, maybe, just maybe, it won't be a no-bear day after all!)

Leah Gilbert's gorgeous art shines in this heartfelt story about finding wonder and joy in the world around us, even when life takes unexpected turns.
