Mom's Cocktail Hour, with Emma Straub, J. Courtney Sullivan, and Jessica Grose!

We are delighted to welcome novelist (and indie bookstore owner) Emma Straub, novelist J .Courtney Sullivan and novelist and journalist Jessica Grose to our Crowdcast "stage" as we celebrate the paperback release of Straub's new novel All Adults Here and J. Courtney Sullivan's new novel Friends and Strangers. 

Our panelists will talk about the writing life, motherhood, cocktail recipes, and more. Leading up to the event, we'll be sending you cocktail recipes so you can have something great to sip on during the conversation, and all attendees will be eligible for excellent door prizes. About the AuthorsEmma Straub is the New York Times-bestselling author of three other novels The VacationersModern LoversLaura Lamont's Life in Pictures, and the short story collection Other People We Married. Her books have been published in twenty countries. She and her husband own Books Are Magic, an independent bookstore in Brooklyn, New York.

J. Courtney Sullivan is the New York Times bestselling author of the novels Commencement, Maine, The Engagements, Saints For All Occasions, and most recently, Friends and Strangers. Courtney’s writing has also appeared in The New York Times Book Review, The Chicago Tribune, New York magazine, Elle, Glamour, Allure, Real Simple, and O: The Oprah Magazine, among many others. A Massachusetts native, Courtney now lives in New York with her husband and two children.

Writer and editor Jessica Grose is the parenting columnist at The New York Times. She is working on a new book of nonfiction called All Powerful and Totally Useless: The Creation of the Ideal American Mother. Jess was the founding editor of Lenny, the email newsletter and website.  She was named  a Glamour “Game Changer” in 2020 for her coverage of the pandemic. She's written two novels, Soulmates, and Sad Desk Salad.
